Short Getaway - USS Singapore Part 1

Last week, we had the chance to visit USS Singapore. Though it was a day trip, we had so much fun, well at least I do.

Aishah wasn't in a very good mood during the whole journey, nevertheless it was good to be there.

We arranged everything on our own, and thankfully everything went very well.

Let me feast your eyes with some of the attraction there. I will share how and tips on going to USS Singapore.

Planning for the second baby

Hello and Assalamualaikum.

When I got married, I did not have any plan to postpone on getting pregnant. Yes, at that time I was planning to get pregnant, and I do, literally just after I got married. Hihi.

Now that it has been more than 2 years since I gave birth to Aishah, there is at one time I do miss the feeling of being pregnant. Memangla beranak tu satu pengalaman yang mentraumakan, tapi trauma yang happy ending.

I will be 31 this year and I think it is might a good time for me to expand our little family.

Things that I need to consider before planning for baby number 2 (source from What to Expect)

Back-to-back babies. Caring for a baby or toddler while pregnant can be physically draining, and it won't get any easier once your newborn arrives and you have two to feed, and clean, and rock, and diaper. With two under two, you may not get a good night's rest for a few years straight. Especially if you breastfeed, you may feel as though your body is on permanent loan to the two tiny tots, and wonder if you'll ever get it back (and in what condition!). If your first was born by C-section less than 18 months before your second arrives, it may be difficult (or dangerous) for you to deliver vaginally. Finally, you'll probably need to invest in some extra baby gear, like a second crib and a double stroller. But the double-whammy does have its benefits: less jealousy for your firstborn, and the chance to overlap your diapering, carrying, bathing, spoon-feeding, babyproofing days (the better to get ''em over with!). As your kids grow, they may be great playmates since they are so close in age, and they'll be into similar activities. If you are an older mom or have any concerns about your fertility, jumping right back into trying-to-conceive might be wise.

Classic combo. When your second arrives two to three years after your first, you'll face a tougher transition for your big kid, with more rivalry, jealousy, regression, and defiance. You may get little to no break on the diaper duty, if your older one toilet-learns trains just as your new baby arrives. Balancing your firstborn's activities with your baby's needs can be tough (what to do when big sister wants to go to the playground, but the baby needs to nurse? Or when preschool pickup conflicts with little brother's nap?). Still, there's a lots to recommend this setup. Your body has time to recover from one pregnancy to the next. You get to enjoy each child's babyhood individually. And practically speaking, you can probably get away with only one crib!

Giant gap. Maybe a space of four, or five, or more years between sibs feels right for your family. Re-entering the baby zone can be tough after you've been out of it for a long time (you've gotten used to sleeping through the night again, for example — at least most of the time!). And you face a juggling act when trying to accommodate the very different needs of kids at such divergent stages (they're not likely to play together, enjoy the same toys or movies, or want to do the same things on weekends). But your firstborn can be a big help with the baby, and they'll develop a relationship all their own — your little one will have a very special role model. With your kids in different stages, you'll be able to enjoy each one more as an individual — almost like having two only children.

Want Vs Need - Financial Freedom

I can foresee that the price of our daily necessities are going to increase in 2014. This is due to the increase of tolls, petrol, sugar, electrics. It somehow interconnected with each other.

So, what can we do, as a consumer in order to face the hiking price of goods?

Well, we can always plan our spending, buy something that we need, instead of something that we want. It's always WANT vs NEED. So know your priority, make a list and a budget and don't go overspend on the budget, that is want my husband and I have been doing for our groceries shopping.

Anyhow, I am someone who always got confuse between want and need :p therefore I need to have a backup plan to ensure that I can AFFORD all my needs. I always WANT a vacation, a new shoes & handbags, savings and most importantly I want to be debt free.

This is why I venture into SHAKLEE. To seek for financial freedom.

Alhamdulillah, I now have extra pocket money on top of my monthly salary.

Through social marketing - Facebook, Instagram, Blogger nothing is impossible. I have seen many that has been successful just by doing Shaklee.

The best thing about Shaklee is that the registration fee is only RM65 for lifetime and no front loading is required, meaning you don't have to pay certain amount of money to buy the products to start the business.  Once you have fall in love with the products, you will be more confident to sell it. I myself have seen the effectiveness of the products - my favorites are Mealshakes, Ostematrix, ESP, Herbal blend..and so many more.

So if you are seeking for an opportunity to improve your family financial, Shaklee is one of the many Social Marketing that you might want to consider, or you may contact me too, I would gladly help and show you the way. ☺

3rd year since..

Aku terima nikahnya.

Pejam celik, this year mark our 3rd year being husband and wife, plus one. Soal jodoh ni memang misteri, who would have know who they will marry, how many kids they will have and how many fortune they will earn.

I have known my husband from one class in Uniten where we were involved in one project, we were kind of strangers back then, until we met again after we finish our degree and things just happen really fast after that.

He is the one who catch me when I fall.

Being married is not easy, 3 years and we are still learning to be a better spouse, asalkan lidah lagi tergigit, ni kan pulak suami isteri kan?

If only I can go back to that figure T_T

To my dear husband, if you happen to read this, I just want you to know that I wouldn't want to trade you with anything else, thank you for being a wonderful husband, a good father and for accepting me for who I am.

InsyaAllah, may our relationship last till Jannah.

Of being a parent

Little that I know at that time, the real challenge of bringing up a child.

Aishah boleh dikatakan anak yang sangat aktif, selalu orang cakap anak boy aktif, girl baik sopan santun sikit, tapi....Echa is different! Kadang-kadang tu terfikir jugak "anak orang lain macam ni jugak ke?" She can't stay still for a long time, I think the only time that she's not busy doing something is only when she's asleep or tengah minum susu, kadang2 kita yang letih tengok dia tak duduk diam.

Kadang2 me as a mother akan berada dalam situasi serba salah, you know, when you scold them for spilling water on the floor, or doing something that just break your boiling point, bila tengok dia nangis, mula lah rasa bersalah. Kalau marah kesian. Kalau tak marah, nanti menjadi-jadi

I suppose I should feel good that she is one active toddler. Never stop exploring the world, walaupun kadang2 sakit jantung tengok apa dia nak buat.

Jangan lari!

Slow down kakak!

Jalan tengok depan!

Jangan lompat-lompat!

I'm sure going to miss all of this later...

Talking Echa

One of my concern of Aishah is that she is still mumbling at this age. I know it is not good to compare, but her cousin can speak more sentences at her age.

I keep on telling myself that every child development is different, and there is nothing that I should be worry about.

She likes to repeat the things that my husband and I say, sekarang ni pulak she keeps on calling me 'abah' instead of 'mama' which annoy me a little bit. hihi.

She is one active kid, at one point, I just let her play by herself, tak larat mak nak melayan. Memang tak boleh duduk diam.

The average 2-year-old:

  •     Speaks at least 50 words
  •     Links two words together, such as "my cup" or "no juice"
  •     Speaks clearly enough for parents to understand some of the words

The average 3-year-old:

  •     Speaks 250 to 500 or more words
  •     Speaks in three- and four-word sentences
  •     Correctly uses pronouns (I, me, you, mine)
  •     States first name
  •     Speaks clearly enough for strangers to understand much of the time

Well  I guess Echa's is developing on her own pace, janji sihat kan?

Keluarga 'Online' saya

Planning for the 2nd child

Tajuk tak agak2..

Aishah lagi dua bulan dah nak masuk 2 tahun. Bila tengok dah pandai itu ini, rasa rindu masa time dia baby dulu.

Tengok gambar baby rasa macam awwww...bestnya bau baby. Tapi persoalannya..bersediakah untuk anak no 2? am i ready to do this again?

Perasaan tu macam rojak, kejap rasa macam nak, kejap rasa macam tunggu dulu.Kadang kalau melawak anak beranak ada jugak keluar dialog 'aicha nak adik ke?' tapi tak tau nak react macam mana. Takut kalau dah ada adik nanti tumpuan dah lari ke adik, which will end up Aishah jadi anak abah. Takut tak dapat beri yang terbaik, dari segi kewangan.

A few things to consider:
  • How will Aishah react?
  • Are we financially stable?
  • Do we agree to have the 2nd child together?
InsyaAllah tahun depan...Apa pun rezeki tu datang dari Allah.

All grown up

Monday blues strikes!

Dah lama cuti raya, hari2 melayan si kecik Aishah Zahra. Kadang2 rasa comel sangat, kadang2 rasa geram sangat...kadang2 rasa dah bijak sangat.

Perangai sekarang dah pandai nak mintak barang. 'Krim' for ice cream, bila tak dapat menjerit. Ice cream dah habis pandai mintak 'agii..' tak bagi tak sampai hati bila tengok muka comel yang comot tu.

Sedar tak sedar bulan ni dah masuk usia Aishah 22 bulan. 2 bulan je lagi dah nak masuk 2 tahun. Tahun ni kita celebrate among family je la ye Echa, insyaAllah next year kita buat party balik. Tahun ni mama & abah banyak plan..haha plan lah sangat kan. The thing is, susah nak buat majlis bila belum ada rumah sendiri. Once kita satu family dah settle down dekat rumah sendiri, boleh buat birthday party balik.

Talking about her development, at 22 months old, she can do these :

  • Eat on her own using fork / spoon / guna tangan pun boleh.
  • Dance to a song.
  • Put on clothing (with mama's assistance).
  • Identify familiar animals / pictures.
  • Knows her emotion - marah / happy / kena marah :p
  • Climb up and down the stairs.

Tantrum pun dah pandai sekarang ni, I keep on reminding myself to stay calm and content and say that this is just a phase..kalau tak mak boleh jadi 'lion'..

I can't ask you not to grow up. I will miss you when you were small, and hope that you will turn out to be a good daughter one day.

Never a day in my pray that I forget about you...semoga Aishah Zahra menjadi anak kebanggan satu hari nanti.

Hemoooo la pulak harini..sobs..mama rindu Echa..

Krim...her favourite. Salah mak jugak sebab ajar anak makan ice cream T_T

Main tangga. Memang boleh hilang semangat tiba2 dah sampai atas tu.

Somehow, she develop an interest in cats.

Words

Susah nak jawap bila orang tanya

"Aishah dah pandai cakap?"

The answer would be 'Yes' and 'No'

She can say a few words, but not in a sentence.

Mama = Mama
Abah = Babah
Atok = Aaatokkk
Tutup = tututtt
Nah = Nah
Nak = Nak
Susu = cucu
Keropok = Kokok
Mak Ngah = Na nahh
Habis = Abissss
Harith = Harisss

Panjang sebutan mengikut ejaan. Hihi.

Her favorite sentence is none other...'nakk cucuuu' and 'nak kokok' which refer to food, not necessarily susu.

How time flies. My baby is all grown up.

Tsskk..

A visit to Zoo Negara

Lepas Aishah sihat and HFMD free, we reward her by bringing her to Zoo Negara. Kesian tengok seminggu terperuk kat rumah, takde life, main dengan mama je, tengok Madagascar tiap2 hari. Instead of watching the characters in Madagascar, kita tengok real animals in life.

Sempat bawak Aishah jumpa Gloria the hippo, Melman the giraffe, Alex the lion, and few others animals..tapi tak dapat jumpa Martin the zebra, sebab mak pak Aishah dah letih berjalan, dan perut pun dah lapar masa tu.

The crowd was overwhelming that day, ramai jugak orang datang Zoo ni, ingatkan orang dah jemu nak datang. Operating hours is from 9.00 am – 5.00 pm daily, including public holiday. Just make sure bawak mykad & mykid sebab kalau tak bawak kene la bayar harga yang luar biasa. It is RM25 during weekdays and RM30 on weekends and Public Holiday. Animal show is at 11.00 am and 3.00 pm, kalau boleh datang awal sikit before showtime, sebab takut nanti takde tempat duduk. Tapi show nye tak la sehebat mana, animal show dekat Lost World of Tambun lagi best. The best animal show so far for me is at Singapore Night Safari, tapi jauh sangat la pulak nak pergi kan.

This map will cost you RM 2 if you buy it on the spot.

The Zoo was poorly maintained. Rimau kat zoo tu pun macam malas je nak tunjuk aksi, semua main sorok2 dekat belakang. I guess kalau di cantikkan sikit kandang2 binatang ni baru bersemangat semua nak tunjuk aksi. The ticket price wasn’t that cheap you know, the least that they can do is to provide a comfortable place for this animal to stay. .but again, who am I to complaint?

It was an okey experience…selalu asyik melawat shopping malls je kan, kali ni back to nature, kenalkan haiwan dekat anak..you can see the excitement in their face, and that is the most priceless  experience of all.

Introduction

Well hello dear readers,

Why so sudden nak publish blog? Maybe it is time for me to change, and to come out from my comfort zone. Kalau belum kahwin cerita pasal kawan2, bila dah nak kahwin, cerita pasal wedding preparation, bila dah ada anak? Of course la akan penuh dengan entry pasal anak.

Jadi mak-mak, macam tu la, siang malam pagi petang cerita pasal anak, sikit2 selit pasal suami. Hihi.

This blog is fully dedicated to my dear daughter, hoping that I can be a good mother to her, and serve only the best for her and our family, InsyaAllah.

The best thing that has ever happen in my life.

How time flies, she is all grown up right now.
